Overview of St. Louis Park MCA Results

The Minnesota Department of Education has released the results of the 2024–25 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA), showing key academic areas and some notable strengths.

MCA Results and Our Next Steps

As you may be aware, MCA test scores across the state have flattened, but we will continue to strive to achieve more in St. Louis Park. Though the scores are not quite where we would like them to be, there are bright spots that highlight the progress we are making. These areas of achievement give us confidence that the steps we are taking are moving us in the right direction. If you are interested in learning more about the scores, you can view the Minnesota Report Card, and see a brief synopsis of our scores can be found on the website.

Leading into this school year, the district has put in place several important strategies for our continued growth.

The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) elevates family and student voice to ensure programs, services, and access meet the needs of all learners. The council reviews key data and practices—including IEP implementation, MTSS alignment, school climate, transportation, and ESY services—to understand what is working and where improvement is needed. SEAC also provides valuable input on district priorities, professional learning needs, and communication strategies. Through this collaborative work, the council recommends approaches that promote equitable outcomes for students with disabilities and strengthen partnerships between families and schools.
